Beats me, my love.

But the chairman has just quit over the debacle.

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
I understand Rafiq gave as good as he got.

This is just a story of a bang average cricketer who got upset about not being picked so decided to wait a decade before deciding he was racially abused and was suicidal.

Vaughan and Ballance both implicated and more to follow no doubt.

Its Yorkshire time warp still the 80s there .

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
The Chairman who has resigned was seemingly someone who was trying to reform things and getting nowhere.
Could lead to the return of Colin Graves who was previously Chairman and wants the current status quo and board to remain.

Dont think the ECB will stand for that and that would mean the continuation of international games being taken away from Headingley (they had a Test and an ODI scheduled for next summer) which would destroy their finances.
The compromise candidate is someone called Lord Kamlesh PATEL.
One of 'YOUR LOT' as Michael Vaughan might say

How can Rafiq gives as good as he got.
He was called the P word; n word , y word; which one is categorised as most racist?

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
According to Ballance, who was his best mate by all accounts, he gave as good as he got when it came to insults.

Not sure how you upset a Zimbabwean but I'm sure the people of WHO will know.

Not sure how you upset a Zimbabwean?

Use the R word.

twoleftfeet 10:45 Fri Nov 5
Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
I don't know what the R word is. Is it safe to google?

I suspect the little fat legged fuck Ballance would be delighted to be called that

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
Oh yes of course.

Apparently, according to google, it's a term of offence.

Who knew.

Any proof of this?

Yes. It's in the report and since confirmed by Ballance.

10 years ago, I'd probably have called some of my indian mates, like DEFJAM, the p word.

Now, probably not.

Its was used in the Office 15years ago...and as Gervais has said, that wouldn't get made now.

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
The Indians down my local use the P word all the time, last sunday during the cricket it was followed by the C word more often than not.

Recently had a "Man Utd fan "friend" refer to Newham as a "Lahore shit hole".
Dont know why he felt he needed to add the Pakistani reference - well actually I do , its because he views being Asian as inferior.

PS see you Sunday FH !

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
The use of both 'Paki' and 'nigger' is clearly unacceptable but its a measure of where we are currently in the debate that we and the media don't seem able to even spell the names out.

It's ludicrous.

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
I see a former Yorkshire overseas player has confirmed he heard Michael Vaughan's classic YOU LOT speech
And is prepared to testify as such

After the ball tampering admissions and now a RACIST CAPTAIN the 2005 Ashes legacy is obviously in TATTERS
Expect recall notices on the ludicrous MBE awards any day

Re: Yorkshire cricket P word
Apparently, when Black people call each other the N word, it's a sign of power as the word has been "reclaimed".

* shrugs *
